WHERE IS ADELE

And for my next trick, I took a mini jaunt around Central America. I didn’t cover much of the area (I do plan to go back), and one country was a repeat – but it was one of the most lovely times I’ve had on my trip so far. Let’s get into it: Costa Rica (the repeat country): This felt the most like a proper vacation since I started my trip last October. Probably in part because it was with Kelsey – who again joined me in yet another foreign…

Okay, I am behind on these blogs. I had this one written for a bit, but I’ve been distracted by a stop in the USA and now I’m straight chilling in Central America. But I still need to recap my excellent time in Japan. Let’s get to it: My final stop on the first almost half of my journey was Japan. Last fall, I booked a weeklong all women’s skiing and snowboarding retreat in Hakuba, Japan. I knew that the logistics would be tricky since I would be coming from…

My next stop on the trip was Vietnam, and I was once again joined by friends (yay!). Here’s a little recap: Vibe(s) of the moment: vacay with friends, trying not to get hit by cars in Hanoi, being extremely annoying in a canoe, drinking egg coffee. Kelsey and I flew from Chiang Mai to Hanoi (which was surprisingly fast) on Valentine’s Day. Hanoi is quite chaotic – and we were impressed with our Bolt (their Uber) driver’s traffic navigation skills. He cut about twenty minutes off of our arrival time…

Trigger warning: this post discusses miscarriages and loss After a lovely few weeks in Australia and New Zealand, I took a long journey and flew back to Bangkok. I love Bangkok. I love the people, I love the buildings, I love the chaos of it all. I love the 7-Elevens. I love the food. I love people’s style. I love that I was able to stay in an amazing apartment for barely any credit card points. I stayed in Sathorn, a less touristy part of the city. It was close…

Okay, this blog post is a bit overdue. But I’ve been chilling. Let’s get into it. AUSTRALIA At this juncture of my trip, I’m doing some repeat countries, Australia included. But I have only ever been to Sydney and I was just a little tike. So, I figured it deserved a trip as an adult. I settled on four nights in Melbourne right after my Bali trip. My family now tells me that I would probably like Sydney better, so I’ll probably be back to Australia and check out Sydney…

Hello again, from a new surfer girlie. My plans in Bali did not go as originally intended. Initially, I had booked a chill AirBnb with yoga classes and a pool in Ubud in Bali. A quieter retreat where I could focus on my writing and read a couple of books in solitude. But then I got an urge for adventure and a targeted ad on Instagram for a surf school in Bali. Have I ever surfed before? No. I have lived in a landlocked state for almost my whole life.…
